This last week the Discoverers Club ventured up to Yorkshire. Based in Ingleton we explored the depths of the caves, scaled the Yorkshire Three Peaks and scrambled up ghylls, with enough time left over for multiple visits to the cafe and a saunter around the waterfalls walk.
The students excelled themselves, they managed the catering for all the breakfasts and evening meals, making their own sandwiches and lunches each morning for the day out adventuring. In the evenings they had arranged card tournaments and quizzes before collapsing into bed before it all stared again the next day. Fantastic.

Ingleton Waterfall Walk
The start of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. Having driven the bus all the way up here we decided to use it to shuttle us between the different hills. It was pleasant, if windy, in the valley - on top in the cloud was a different story!
We also used the train to get us up the valley and avoid about eight miles of flat walking, much of it along the road. It also gave us enough time to enjoy a chocolate bar while looking at the scenery.
Some people opted for the cafe rather than to climb another hill, so we split up and headed into town. We also swung by Yordas cave and stuck our heads in. The old Victorian show cave is massive inside and we walked up to look at the waterfall before driving to meet the walkers.
...and then there were four! (and Mr Rees). It stared to rain as we headed up Whernside and it was quite wet on top. On the way down the rain stopped, the cloud lifted and we were greeted by the rest of the team running from the bus to walk us in to the mini bus.
