Racing kayaks at Newton Ferrers






 
Sunshine but a little wind greeted the Deputy Head who came out today for our first foray this term with the racing boats, we only had one fall in - remarkably still managing to keep his hair dry!

Lower 6th Assessed one day











 
Today the first year Sport Baccalaureate students completed their assessed one day out. The weather improved as it said it would and students managed the climbing, navigating and walking independently and with the occasional smile!

Bushcraft







 

Today the U6 BTEC students ventured up to the bushcraft sight at Marjons to practice making fires and their culinary skills ready for their expedition at the end of the year.  Pizzas, jacket potatoes, trout and marshmallows were on the menu.

Outdoor Ed club expanded tonight and three students went climbing and abseiling at the Dewerstone in the evening sun.

Ten Tors Event

Well done to all those who took part in the Ten Tors event this weekend.  Months of training out on Dartmoor in all weather conditions saw everyone in both teams complete the challenge in good time.
